Caroline Curtis(1967) is a Dutch / British painter, born in Hitchin, Great Britain.
She studied at the Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology (BA Honours)
and then at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht. Her oeuvre is rooted in tradition.
She approaches her subject-matter with care and obsession that results in precise
and honest observations in painting and drawing.
This can be seen here in the glazed drawings on old ceramic plates featuring nature and old lace.
Her work can be found in private and public collections including the Teylers Museum in Haarlem.
