During his travels as a photographer Jochem always carries a Stylus Epic to capture his surroundings in a very intuitive way. It is the kind of photography with no initial concept. It is about looking with the heart. Capturing moods evoked by spaces. A number of images are b&w shots colored in post-production, questioning how one remembers color. |

Jochem Sanders:
After studying architecture and photography in Amsterdam and starting to work there, Jochem spent his time in New York from 2008-2012, working both as an assistant and director of photography for photographer/director Ellen von Unwerth. After returning to Amsterdam Jochem has been working on personal, editorial and commercial photography, shifting his focus more and more to personal projects. His work has been exhibited in The Nether-lands, France, Germany and the US. |
